Finnish Satellite Workshop (https://spaceworkshop.fi/) is one of the largest annual Earth observation events in Finland. Organized in combination with the Finnish Remote Sensing Days and the URSI National Convention, the 2023 event gathers around 700 participants. The Forest Carbon Monitoring project is proud to be represented in this three-day event taking place in Otaniemi, Espoo, Finland, 18-20 January.
The Finnish Satellite Workshop is the biggest New Space meeting in Northern Europe. It brings together space technology specialists, scientists and students to discuss current topics in a rapidly developing space field. The event has an extensive technical exhibition area allowing companies to promote their products. The format of the event is relaxed, focusing on content and collaboration.
The event gives a good opportunity for the project team to interact with representatives from the entire spectrum of satellite-based forest monitoring, ranging from satellite manufacturers and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) specialists to producers and users of Earth observation products and services.
The Forest Carbon Monitoring project, including the demonstration outputs, will be presented in the Carbon Cycle session on Friday 20th January. If you are participating in the event, come and see our presentation in the Lumituuli room at 10:20. Looking forward to fruitful discussions during these three days!
